Shyam, a young schoolteacher, known to all as Master Ji, is deeply in love with his wife, Roopa. The newlywed couple rarely gets to spend much time together. Since Shyam must live alone in Meja, the tiny Rajasthani village where he is currently posted. Roopa asks for little except his affection and right now, just wants him to show up on time for her first Karwa Chauth.
But when Shyam insists that she tell what she’d like him to bring as a gift on that day, she just asks for a new blouse by Meja’s Babu Tailor. Who's very famous for the beautiful cuts and fits of his women’s blouses. It’s a simple, little gift. And easy to get too. But when he reaches Meja, Shyam realises that the blouse his wife had given him as a sample for her measurement, is not in his bag. Now he has no way of getting the tailor her exact measurements. He explains this peculiar dilemma to his friend Babu Tailor, who comes up with a risky but helpful idea. One aspect of the plan involves ogling the bosoms, albeit discreetly, of every woman in the village. Shyam is reluctant. If he gets caught, his reputation will be in tatters. A teacher should behave respectably, after all.
What will he do now?
Will his wife get the gift she wants?
Will Babu tailor be able to help his friend?
