Our Mission:

The Dallas/Fort Worth area is now home to its very own South Asian film festival. DFW SAFF is a three day festival taking place from March 3 to 5, 2017. We will showcase World, U.S. and Texas premieres of features, shorts and documentaries, all chosen to engage, educate and inspire audiences. We have chosen a wide range of films exploring issues that affect South Asians living and working in America, as well as our brothers and sisters back home.

Our Vision:

DFW SAFF exists to promote the perspectives and voices of the South Asian community by serving, organizing and advocating South Asian culture in the Greater Dallas Metroplex area through cinema.


The fourth annual DFW South Asian Film Festival will take place from February 8 to 11, 2018.

6) World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth

Since its founding in 1951, the mission of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth has been to provide relevant information about global issues, challenges and opportunities while establishing North Texas as a center for international interests and business.


7) Trammell S. Crow

Mr. Crow is the President of the Crow Family Foundation, which operates and manages The Trammell & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art as well as the Trammell Crow European Sculpture Garden. Mr. Crow is the son of Trammell Crow, founder of the Trammell Crow Company, and his wife, Margaret.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Crow Collection of Asian Art and is actively involved in Thanksgiving Square, a multi-denominational center for the promotion of gratitude and religious tolerance.

Mr. Crow is also a founder of Texas Business for Clean Air, an organization of prominent business leaders throughout Texas who are committed to matters that affect air quality in the state. Past and ongoing involvements include: Republicans for Environmental Protection, Dallas County Community District Foundation, University of Texas at Dallas, Museum of African-American Life and Culture, Dallas Children’s Theater, Trinity River Association, The Friends of the Katy Trail, Asia Society, Population Connection, Deep Ellum Film Festival, McKinney Avenue Contemporary, and Mayor’s Recycling Task Force – Dallas.

9) Dallas Film Commission

The Dallas Film Commission is the official film commission for the Greater Dallas area and is a member of the Association of Film Commissioners International & the Texas Association of Film Commissions.  The film commission is a Division of the City of Dallas, Office of Economic Development and is also supported by the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The commission is responsible for marketing and developing sales strategies to attract business and foster the growth of the creative media industries in Dallas, serving industry segments that produce content such as motion pictures, television, commercials, corporate videos, music videos, documentary and still photography as well as new and emerging forms of media.
