While the physical journey takes place in a car, the subtext behind the emotional journey between mother and son is the crux of the conflict of THE LONG DRIVE. The short film offers a glimpse into an unconventional relationship marked by affection, intimacy and open communication, rare to see in most child/parent relationships in the East. In the end, it’s more about the journey, rather than the destination.
